This event will feature readings by five Bay Area authors recently or about to be published by Four Way Books (FWB), an independent publisher celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. FWB is comprised of a literary press, Pay a Book Forward, a prize program, and an electronic literary journal, Four Way Review. Founded in 1993 in NYC by Martha Rhodes and others, FWB quickly began earning a reputation for publishing high-quality writing and each year releases 16-18 books of poetry, short story collections, and novellas.

Susan Browne is the author of Just Living, Zephyr, and Buddha’s Dogs and has a book forthcoming in 2025. She lives in Chico, California.
Peter Coyote is the author of Tongue of Crow. An Emmy-award-winning narrator/actor, he’s also written two best-selling memoirs, as well as The Lone Ranger and Tonto Meet the Buddha and Zen in the Vernacular, forthcoming in 2024.
Brian Komei Dempster’s poetry collections, Topaz and Seize, have received several honors, including the Julie Suk Award. He is a Guggenheim Fellow in Poetry.
Rebecca Foust’s seventh book is ONLY. She was a Marin Poet laureate, and her poems won the 2023 New Ohio Review prize as well as the Pablo Neruda, Poetry International, and James Hearst poetry prizes.
Cintia Santana’s first collection, The Disordered Alphabet, is forthcoming. A CantoMundo fellow, she teaches fiction, poetry, and translation workshops at Stanford. https://www.cintiasantana.com/
