Paul Hoover’s most recent book of poetry is O, and Green (MadHat Press, 2021), about which critic Marjorie Perloff commented, “His terse, densely packed lines, often arranged in triads, carry on, more than any other lyric I’ve seen, the Williams tradition: “the more you / watch the cat / the more abstract / it gets.” Editor of two editions of Postmodern American Poetry: A Norton Anthology and the annual magazine, New American Writing, he lives in Mill Valley and teaches at San Francisco State University.
