Elizabeth Foster (Junior, St. Ignatius College Preparatory) is a passionate student leader for freedom of expression, educational access, and youth civic engagement. Elizabeth serves as a Student Advocate for Speech with the National Coalition Against Censorship, leading banned book clubs and workshops on anti-censorship action throughout the Bay Area. She also has several years of experience as a literacy and policy teacher, including with the Youth Policy Initiative of San Francisco. In her writing, Elizabeth explores the intersection of advocacy and self-expression. She is especially interested in using poetry and literature as tools of civic engagement and cultural change.
